Butter-Steamed King Crab Legs

⏱ 15 Minutes 👤 Serves 2 🌊 Wild-Caught Alaska ⭐ Easy

“Pulled straight from Alaskan waters — the only recipe that lets the crab speak entirely for itself.”

King Crab is already cooked when it arrives. Your only job is to warm it through, infuse it with garlic butter, and serve it immediately. The entire technique is in restraint — don't overcook, don't overseason, don't rush. Fifteen minutes from frozen to table.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs King Crab legs, thawed
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Lemon, halved
  • handful Fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • to taste Flaky sea salt
Method
  1. 01
    Melt the butter

Place a wide skillet over medium heat. Add butter until it foams.

  2. 02
    Add garlic

Cook garlic 60 seconds until fragrant. Do not burn.

  3. 03
    Steam the crab

Add crab legs, cover and steam 5-6 minutes turning once.

  4. 04
    Finish and serve

Squeeze lemon, scatter parsley, add sea salt. Serve immediately.

Pro Tip

The crab is already cooked — you are only heating and flavoring it. Six minutes maximum. When in doubt pull it earlier.
